Soap left on/machine stoppedIf you drive in, only get the soap/rinse arch, and the machine stopped and asked you to exit, then you did not lock your tire in the machine treadle correctly and therefore the machine couldn't sense your vehicle in the bay. Please do not back up, or go forwards and backwards (this will pull you out of the treadle), unless directed by the sign in which the machine is looking for your tire. Once it tells you to stop, please do not move the vehicle any more, and place your vehicle in park. Please make sure you are following all the instructions per the sign. The following things can also cause the equipment to go into safety mode and leave soap on the vehicle: objects in the bed of trucks, hitches, bicycle racks, extended mirrors, headache rack, oversized tires or bumpers, or any other aftermarket accessories. Please see the Weather/More tab for more information.

"Did not clean"Our pricing is based on your vehicle being in a reasonable condition. If it didn’t clean, you either purchased the basic wash or your vehicle is not in a reasonable condition or you waited too long to wash your vehicle. Please keep in mind the two basic washes have minimal rinse since the equipment doesn’t put as much soap on as the top two washes. The top two washes are designed for vehicles that are bigger or have more contaminants on their vehicle. Depending on the condition of your vehicle, you might need a second wash or start off with the top Platinum wash, or see our monthly wash club packages to keep your vehicle regularly cleaned. Please see the weather/more tab for more information on contaminants and what to do.

Do you do any detailing/Interior cleaning?We don't do any detailing or interior washes at our Brite & Shiny Car Wash locations. However, at our Bastrop and Lockhart locations, there are readily available vacuums.

Parked Vehicles on Property/School Pick-upWe NOT allow parked/stalled vehicles on our properties at any time. This includes no parking for school pick-ups, or parking for nearby stores (you need to park in their lot). This is a private business, and our facilities are for our paying customers only. If a vehicle is parked/stalled/left over-night, the vehicle (this includes trailers) is subject to towing at the vehicle owners expense. *This also includes the truck wash at the back of our Bastrop facility.

Dumpsters/Dumping & TrashWe are a private business and depend on every bit of our dumpster space for our customers light car trash and to keep our place clean of trash/debris for our customers, but we are not set up for household trash dumping. This also includes our self-serve bays which we do NOT allow dumping of any kind (i.e. car parts, trees, hay, mulch, oil, large trash bags, etc). Please see the Texas Penal Code below. With this being said, we absolutely value our customers and we want to continue our business relationship with you; however we can’t accept household trash so if you will please discard it at your home or a public dump that allows it. Thank you. It is illegal to place trash, litter or solid waste into a private business dumpster without the permission of the business owner. This carries the same punishment range as illegal dumping. Illegal use of a dumpster is also considered Theft of Service under the Texas Penal Code (31.04) which is a Class B Misdemeanor. Both charges can be filed at the same, constituting two separate offenses.

LoiteringAbsolutely NO loitering is allowed. Our facilities are for paying customers only. Any horse-playing, loitering, skateboarding, walking through our bays, etc, of any kind is not allowed. All of this is dangerous and will be subject to authorities being called. We are not responsible for any injuries or vehicle damages that may result from the persons actions.

Using a codeQR Codes - If you have a QR code, just scan it under the scanner (screenshots of the QR code will NOT work). Number Codes - If at either the Lockhart or Lampasas locations, just press numbers only on the keypad. Wash will activate. Do not press any other symbols and do not try to select a wash. Enter Number code only (green light flashes to enter). If at either Buda or Bastrop locations, click on the kiosk screen digit number keypad on the bottom of the screen and the digital keypad enlarges. Press numbers only on the digit keypad and wash will activate. Do not press any other symbols and do not try to select a wash. Enter Number Code only (green light flashes to enter).

Cold WeatherIf it is at or below freezing temperature (32 degrees is freezing) outside, our car wash equipment goes into safety mode and will not operate. Do not go to the car wash until it has been above freezing temperature for a few hours. We will send out notifications within our APP. Please make sure you have your push notifications turned on to receive these updates. We do not provide refunds for washes purchased during freezing weather/temperatures. Dually TrucksDually Trucks can fit in our touchless automatic bays at both our Bastrop and Lockhart locations, as long as they fit under the 7 foot bar and have no additional aftermarket accessories (such as oversized tires or extended mirrors). They can also fit at our Buda location, following the above guidelines. Please make sure you fold in your mirrors upon entering the bay.

Damage ClaimsIf you have a damage claim, you need to email us at clean@briteandshinycarwash.com immediately within 24 hours. Claims outside of this 24 hour window from when you left the property are null and void. When you email us, we will need to following: Proof of payment (the last four digits and the name on the card you used or a copy of your receipt). Exact time and date you visited. Which location you visited? (If Bastrop or Lockhart, please include if you went through the touchless or soft-touch automatic bay). Year, Make, Model, Color, and License plate of your vehicle. Then, we will have to conduct a further investigation. Although our car wash is very safe and we have service techs that go by all of our locations multiple times a day, we are NOT liable for any damages. We take claims on a case by case basis. No guarantees.

Can't log into your App?If you're having an issue logging into your app, double check you've entered the correct password. You might have to "forget password" and create a new one. If the issue persists, email us directly at clean@briteandshinycarwash.com

Credit HoldIf you get an email that says you are in a credit hold in the app, you need to change/update your credit card within the app. This must be done on your end. After you have done so, you will need to email us directly at clean@briteandshinycarwash.com from the email address your wash club account is associated with for security measures, so that we can manually push your credit card through and make your account active. We will not refund washes purchased outside of the wash club if you are in a credit hold. Please resolve the credit hold before you visit one of our locations. To avoid future credit holds, please update your card before your renewal date.

Scanning the Wash Club QR codeThe Wash Club is twice a day, 30 minutes apart. You cannot scan the QR code back to back. It will not work. If you are trying to run through the wash twice, please wait the 30 minutes. Your phone must not be on dark mode and your brightness needs to be turned all the way up before scanning the QR code. You might need to tilt your phone several different ways until the red light scans the code. *If you do not see the QR code within your app, you will need to email us directly.

QR code not showing upIf you have a wash club and you do not see your QR code in the app, please contact us directly via email at clean@briteandshinycarwash.com with the email address associate with your wash club account so we can further assist you. *If you get a new cell phone, you will need to email us first before visiting one of our locations, otherwise you will not be able to use your wash club for security measures (no refunds will be given for individual purchased washes outside of the wash club).

Need to Update Vehicle Information?If you need to update or change your vehicle information, please email us with the make, model, color, year, and license plate if it was changed (if it's a temporary plate, we will need the temp plate. Once you receive your permanent plate, you will need to email us that new plate information as well). Please include all of the information stated so we can help you as quickly as possible.

Trying to gift a wash?In your app, on the main home page, click on "Buy a Wash" for an individual, single wash or "Bundles" for more than one wash, then click on "Buy as a Gift." Proceed with the instructions prompted on the screen. In order to do this, your credit card must already be entered in the "payment info" section, until "account."
